The Masquerade Ball was different, this was a party for adults and Buffy had wanted it to be a little bit like the Ball in Labyrinth because seriously who didn’t think that David Bowie’s Jareth was the sexiest ever? Buffy was dressed in a black and white ball gown with a white mask for this celebration. After making some last minute checks she stepped inside to enjoy the party and smiled seeing the gathering. This was nice. Now all she could hope for was that the village didn't do something to ruin.

She toured through the ballroom, making stops to talk to people that she knew and others to see if they were enjoying it. Fingers crossed it would be a success.

Riley was in a black suit with a black mask. He was a little tired from helping Buffy with all the events - seriously, he had no idea how she did it all - but he was happy that she was happy.

"Looks like everything's going well." No invasion of any kind, for example.

"Hopefully that didn't jinx us." Buffy said with a smile, wrapping her arm around Riley's waist. "But yeah, I think this turned out really well. The kid's party went pretty good, too."

He nodded, thinking back to earlier today. The kids party had been a bit harder to set up for, but worth it. "It's amazing how many kids there actually are here. How many people have decided to settle down."

The ball reminded her of ones that her friend Snow had back at the enchanted Forest, which had Red wearing a dress that she could have worn there, too. The mask was something she wasn't used to wearing but it was also fun. Red stopped by the buffet table to grab something to eat, then went over to the tables to watch the crowd enjoying it.

Robin was at the food table, too, dressed in fine leathers and wearing a mask of his own.

He smiled to Ruby. She wore a dress more like home than others. "A bold choice of colour." No judgement, just appreciation.

"A typical choice if you know me." Ruby said with a grin. "It's my favorite color." And a calming one when it came to her wolf. She held out her hand, "I'm Ruby." Which probably would explain why she liked and wore red.

"Robin." He took her hand and instead of shaking it, decided to half bow and kiss the back of her hand like he would have done back home. It was rare he got to feel like home most of the time in the village. "And it's a pleasure to meet you. Red is quite a colour on you." He smiled.

Rikki wasn't the ball type person, but there were a couple of times a year that she would. Christmas and Halloween, if there was one. She mostly liked feeling like Cinderella but she would never admit to that.

She found a really nice dress and mask to wear that made her feel dressy but not like a fish out of water (pun intended). Rikki wondered over to the bar area but instead of an alcoholic drink, she asked for an apple cider and sat to enjoy it.

Merlin, in a black tuxedo with bow tie, wore a mask. When he entered, he saw Rikki immediately. Sure, she was in a mask, but he could recognize her anywhere. He made a b-line toward her.

"You look beautiful." He grinned.

Rikki turned around to see Merlin and she returned the warm smile with a little curtsey. "Thanks. You look brilliant, too." And he did but then he always looked handsome to Rikki.

His smile turned into a grin at the curtsy - it was cute. "Have you been waiting long?" He might have been a bit long deciding on what exactly to wear.

Cat loved masquerade balls so when she saw the advertisement for this one, she found the perfect dress. It was blue with a matching mask. Her mouth opened slightly when she saw the decorations inside. It reminded her somewhat of the dance she'd had with Vincent in New York and Cat wondered if time truly was on hold there and if it wasn't, was he all right?

Shaking off the questions she would never have answers to, she moved toward the dance floor to watch the festivities.

I'm not usually a fan of masquerades, but a ball means dancing and I don't get to do a lot of it here. So I dug through the props room at the opera and came up with a cape and a mask to go with my tux. Phantom of the Opera! Not very original, but it should do.

And here I am, looking for someone to dance with when I spot this sparkling blue dress. And if I'm not totally mistaken I know the figure in it.

"Dare to dance with the Phantom?" And no, that's not a slip of the tongue. Halloween is supposed to be spooky, so dare it is.

While Kamekona understood the theme of the ball, he liked to dress up for Halloween. Sure, he could rock a tux like nobody's business, but he also liked to be in costume, too. So unlike a lot of other people, he was in costume. Currently standing and nodding his head to the music, wanting to dance.

The camouflage was a familiar sight for Allison and she headed over to where Kamekona stood, gravitating to the familiar. She wore a dress that wasn't exactly what you would wear to a Halloween masquerade, but she'd thought it was pretty and that was all that mattered to her.

"Howzit?" Her brow ruffled and then she realized what he'd said and the confusion cleared. "I'm good. I like your clothes." It was familiar and comfortable.
