While we're on the subject of things I'm catching up with, I should mention that I'm finally watching the animated Teen Titans series. It's lovely! it's utterly charming, and I like how it's loosely based on the Peréz/Wolfman Titans. Along with the Byrne/Claremont X-Men, they were what got me into supers comics.

I've just been watching the fourth episode of The Fades. It's sorta like Buffy if it took place in England, and the good guys were on the ropes all the time. I'm enjoying it very  much.

Actually I'm still sick (throat, 'flu, stomach upset the whole thing) but I'm getting better. I've used the time to watch ridiculous amounts of The Shield. And cough. Good times.

I've also written more on my fantasy Leverage setting. I'll post more tomorrow.

I watched a whole load of Spooks these past days. It's really growing on me, even I'm saddened that Hugh Laurie's character (Jools Siveter, an MI6 Section Chief) only appears in two episodes.

The points made here aren't new, but it is worthwhile being reminded of them now and again.

It's also by turns funny and disheartening. The feeling of impending doom that made its presence known so frequently during Bush the Younger still hangs around a bit.

It looks like it's possible to do Leverage as an rpg, complete with those flashbacks that mean so much to the format and the stories.
I've read as much about the Leverage rpg rules as I can without actually owning the game. I simply can't afford buying a game right now, so I'll do a bit of reverse-engineering, using FATE. I think it can be done.
