Not the TV series. I watched the first season of that, and never missed it when I stopped having cable.
The rpg, now THAT I like. You are most likely going to hear more about it in future posts. Just so as you know.
The game starts with the creation of characters and setting at the same time. This is done through drawing a relationship map, where the players create npcs and locations and connect them with their Leads (characters) . So, every player will have to get involved and be creative, deciding how their leads fit in the world.
There's more to the game than this of course, but this process really produces some very play-worthy characters firmly part of the setting. And the setting isn't bigger than it needs to be. That's good when your GM is an inveterate setting-nerd. Like me.
I've tried going through the process alone, and even that produces some characters that I could not have come up with on my own.
My only problem is that the game isn't made for quick games, and those are the only kind I get to play. Smallville's sister game Leverage is good for that. And we'll be playing that on the 30th. Joy.
