That last post made me feel anxious. I'm going to center myself a bit with this next one. I was just reflecting that I was very much myself today.

I used to be better at this.  I'm trying.  Small Boy wanted to take a camera on his walk to school today so he could get some pictures of things he enjoys looking at on his walks.  Way to go, Small Boy.

I accidentally had a physical yesterday.

I had a long lunch break today and came home unexpectedly early.  Eldest Son was just getting ready to go for a run to try out his new cleats.  I leaped into my jogging clothes and went out with him.  We had a really nice run, just the two of us (and the dog.)

My business generates a lot of shredded paper.  In the winter we've been using it to start fires each day.  In the summer - what?  It's way too "brown" to go into my kitchen compost garden, even with all the coffee grounds I've been scoring from the local coffee shop.   In the past I've just put it out with the recycling, but that sort of bugs me ( Read more... )

I'm still pretty beaten up from hitting the deer.  I tried to go running yesterday and it sent me straight back to the chiropractor.  I laugh to consider that I think a chiropractor could get me capable of running, though, since I really couldn't BEFORE the accident, either.  Local eating from my root cellar makes me understand why yeoman farmers ( Read more... )

I went and ran on the treadmills today. What a difference it makes to be in January!

"I stuck to it."  That ought to be my motto.  As I passed the finish line at my race today I heard the announcer say that I was the only person running today who had done this race every year since it started.  Uh oh.  I didn't know that.  It feels like some unexpected burden.
