The architect who redesigned the hotel said that he meant it to have a "Royal Tenenbaum feel," and it does, which is one reason I adore it.

I am so very glad you loved The Jane. derspatchel and I are with you on the fountain in the lobby.

I don't know why this makes me melancholy.

It's a very good photograph, no matter what.

There was too much cool stuff like that to photograph all of it in a single trip. And still have time, you know, to go Outside.

Love the narrow hallway shot.

It sort of had this Overlook Hotel feel.

Ah... of course their history page glosses over the seedier period from the mid 40s to 08 - it was a flophouse so of course I didn't know about it. Still neat though.
