I asked Joe to teach me how to play Halo, so I can be cool like him and Andrew. His response: "It would last for about fifteen minutes before you'd get frustrated at your lack of hand-eye coordination, yell THIS SUCKS and then go watch porn or something."
I need a teacher who doesn't know me so well.

Florida is on fire
Yep, Alachua and Bradford counties are burning, as well as parts of southern Georgia. The air has been full of smoke and ashes for a couple of days. I feel like I'm living in Pompeii. It is very pretty outside, if you ignore the official health advisory for smoke and particulate matter. I took some photos from the Physics Building the other day.

Beauty in ugliness
Tired of perpetually bitching about the ugliness of my neighborhood, I decided to take some photos of beautiful things in and around my apartment. There are actually a lot of them if you look carefully enough.

Atlanta is awesome
We got back from Atlanta last night after a couple of days partying with Professor Mayhem. The Warhammer thing was a boring ass waste of time - Joe was super disappointed by what he described as a "dork pissing contest" - so it was extra good that Elli found us some fun stuff to do the rest of the weekend. Countdown to Atlanta and end of hell semester!
Okay, yeah, not nearly as hellish as last semester. More like purgatory. Anyway, glad it's going to be over soon. This summer should be pretty awesome. Most of the kids will have gone home to their mommies and daddies, the town and campus will be relatively empty, and my classes don't start until 11 AM. Yay!
