Weehee it is Summer!
Actually, I'm not that excited. But it is nice to have so much more free time. Four more classes and I'm done!
I've been checking the mail obsessively because I'm expecting a couple of scholarship checks. When they finally arrive, I'm buying myself a sewing machine. It's about time I learned how to do something practical (besides identifying insects).
My research thingie is coming along slowly. I'm still doing the literature review and trying to draw up a protocol, and a proposal for the chem lab. And there's good news, everybody! I'm going to South Florida this weekend to get some beetles. Yay home! I can't wait to smell the ocean again, and see the friends who stayed.
It will be really good to get out of Gainesville for a few days. My very small social circle here has been swamped with depressing interpersonal drama. I've resorted to spending lots of time on Etsy buying small things to fill the emptiness in my soul.
