You Remind Me (Chapter 10)
Title: You Remind Me
Pairing: Ryoda, Akame, Tanaka and a few others on the sidelines
Rating: PG 13 ( I guess.)
Genre: Romance ( not to sure as to what genre this fic will be in except for what I've stated)
Summary: Ueda Tatsuya confessed to his crush Nishikido Ryo but it seems that the latter loathes him for a lot of reasons. But nothing more could surpass Ryo's hatred for Tatsuya's face. What is it with Ueda's face that made Nishikido abhor the older one? (Honestly, I'm not really good with summaries but I hope somehow i got my point through.)
A/N: Everyone this is my first time writing a fic, a multi-chapter for that too. After months of just reading fics written by others, I decided to write one for myself. The idea for this fic had been on my mind for quite a long time now after hearing Usher's You Remind Me . I just love that song! I'm really not so confident with my work but hey...better try than regretting not doing it later! So i hope you'll like this one and comments are so welcomed and loved but please go easy on me. I'm still a child in this field.^_^

CHAPTER 10
Boisterous laughter of children was heard in the playground. Kids were seen running from the far right corner of the place to the opposite side; chasing each other, running away from their pursuant and vice versa. Some of the kids were seen playing with the swing set, slide, chin-up bars, merry-go-round and sandbox. One type of playground equipment was left unattended by the children because of one scary looking man sitting on top of the rails, sometimes glaring at the noisy kids from above.
“Ano…Ojii-san, can we also use the jungle gym?” A cute looking boy bravely asked the terrifying looking man as he showed him his kicked puppy eyes. When the said glowering man heard what the innocent boy called him, his expression turn more sour than it was a few seconds ago.
“Kid, I’m not that old! Don’t ever call me Ojii-san, got it!” He scolded the now frightened lad in a voice loud enough to make some of the kids surrounding them looked their way. The poor terrified kid just nod his head as tears started to pool from his eyes. The lad’s friends, who were behind him, stepped back when they heard the booming voice of the intimidating man.
“Hey kid, don’t cry!” The said man stated but it seemed to have an opposite effect to the child as he saw tears trailing down the little chap’s chubby cheeks. The scary looking man went down from where he was sitting as he positioned himself in front of the sobbing child.
“Hey kid!” The said man called again but the kid just ignored his beckoning as he started to rub his eyes vigorously, tears freely flowing down his face. The older man let out a loud sigh as he softly patted the child’s head.
“Hey kid stop crying.” The adult said in a gentle tone as he coaxed the crying boy. “Hey come on. You’re a man right? Men don’t cry so you should stop crying.” The child stopped the strong rubbing of his eyes as he tried to stifle his weeping. The older guy ruffled the child’s soft hair as he let at another sigh.
“What’s your name?” The man asked the now calm kid as he tenderly laid his hands on the child’s shoulder.
“Daichi.” The child answered in a very faint voice, his sobbing was now gone as he lowered his hands placing them on his side, head lowered as he avoided gazing at the man who made him cry.
“Daichi-kun, forgive me. Onii-chan didn’t mean to scare you.” The now crouched elder smiled a very kind smile as he tapped his hands on the latter’s shoulders. The child just nod his head, a soft “uhnn” was heard from him as he still avoided looking directly at the older man.
“Here.” The now not so scary looking man said as he fished something out of his pocket. He handed the child a strawberry candy as he then again flashed a very bright smile. The eluding child looked at the man, full of confusion with a little doubt and fear then afterwards shifting his attention at the sweet treat on his hand.
“Now cheer-up and go play with your friends on the jungle gym.” The man expressed grinning as he again ruffled the child’s hair. He lightly shoved the kid named Daichi towards the direction of the said playground equipment. The child just looked at him with a baffled expression, still unmoved on the spot he was standing afterwards glancing back at his friends. After a few minutes of plain awkwardness, Daichi’s playmates started playing with the jungle gym. Before playing with his friends, Daichi looked back at the older man, who was now standing, as he bowed his head a little towards the latter then afterwards scrambling on his feet to join his friends in playing.
Ryo sighed. He didn’t actual mean to make the child, Daichi, cry. He was just having a bad mood and the child got into his nerves when he dared call him Ojii-san. Does he even look like an ojii-san to the child? He wasn’t even that old in the first place! He then glanced at the now playing Daichi, his face was smiling as he recalled how the child eased on him when he gave him that strawberry candy.
She was pouting; eyebrows furrowed, eyes squinted, cheeks puffed as she threw some tantrums for a few seconds now. Although her face looked unappealing, for Ryo it is and will always be beautiful without comparison.
The said moping girl glanced at him with her famous puppy eyes eliciting reactions deep within his heart.
“You still look so cute in that manner.” Ryo chided with a smile on his face as he took hold of the girl’s hand.
“Ryo…”She whined.”I really don’t want to go to that event! It’s so boring and your not even there!” The girl declared tugging the man’s hold on her hand.
“But you need to. You know that.” He expressed in a very soothing voice still with a smile on his face.”You need it to improve your grades. It wouldn’t be that bad. It would just be a 4 hour conference and after that you’ll pass the subject that you’re almost failing.”
The girl tried to pry the man’s hold on his hand, looking annoyed by what the latter said to her.
“You are supposed to tell me I should skip it if I don’t want too!” The girl commented looking like a five year old child.
“I can’t always heed your every wants and needs. You also need to be toned down Princess, controlled.” Nishikido reasoned out still smiling. When the girl heard what her boyfriend said, she pouted even more. Ryo’s grin grew even wider when he saw her pout. He firmly held the girl’s hand with his one hand as he scooped something in his pocket with his other hand. When Ryo took hold of the thing he was searching in his pocket, he presented it to the girl beside him. The girl looked at him still pouting then afterwards looked at the three strawberry candies on the latter’s hand.
“For you. To make you feel better and for me to convince you to attend that boring conference.” Nishikido said his expression so sweet and caring.
“Strawberry candies?” The girl asked confused.”You’ll bribe me just with strawberry candies?”She asked again, jest hidden in the tone of her voice.
“Yes, three strawberry candies. I know how you love strawberry candies. And these candies means” I love you!” I think that’s more than enough.” He beamed confidently.
“So certain are we?” The girl teased. She then took the candies offered to her, slowly opening one candy with her hands.”Well, a kiss would convince me even more.” She provoked him, a playful smile on her lips. The girl’s wish was granted at the end and she did attend the boring conference the next day.
Some much for reminiscing! Ryo muttered, bored and uninterested as he again focused his attention at Daichi.
I should really stop having strawberry candies in my pocket. It’s not like I’m eating it and I know it’s not good for my teeth nor is it good for my heart. He declared again, his eyes looking all too lost in thinking.

And since both chapters aren't that long too, I decided to post two.
