You Remind Me (Chapter 8)
Title: You Remind Me
Pairing: Ryoda, Akame, Tanaka and a few others on the sidelines

Summary: Ueda Tatsuya confessed to his crush Nishikido Ryo but it seems that the latter loathes him for a lot of reasons. But nothing more could surpass Ryo's hatred for Tatsuya's face. What is it with Ueda's face that made Nishikido abhor the older one? (Honestly, I'm not really good with summaries but I hope somehow i got my point through.)
A/N: Everyone this is my first time writing a fic, a multi-chapter for that too. After months of just reading fics written by others, I decided to write one for myself. The idea for this fic had been on my mind for quite a long time now after hearing Usher's You Remind Me . I just love that song! I'm really not so confident with my work but hey...better try than regretting not doing it later! So i hope you'll like this one and comments are so welcomed and loved but please go easy on me. I'm still a child in this field.^_^

Nishikido was so pissed right now! Of the all the million people residing in this area why was it him? It could have been a teacher, a salary man, it could have been one of his friends or classmates but why in this vast universe fate, destiny or whatever he thought others might be calling it decided to make him witness this scene before him. It’s not like he actually cared. He doesn’t actually give a damn with what was enfolding in front of him. They could all go debauch each other and he wouldn’t even care, wouldn’t even flinch but why him?
His night started magnificently. Leah, the girl he had been going out with for a couple of weeks now, decided to meet up with him after the girl’s important appointment. This was actually the first time Leah invited him and he felt so lucky that maybe tonight he could finally do it with her. If people knew that he still haven’t done it with Leah, he was so sure they will all be shocked and would laugh at him mercilessly. He had been giving hints about his desire to do it with the girl for weeks now but the latter seemed to be uncomfortable with such idea. Ryo wasn’t so certain what caused the discomfort. Was it the thought of him doing it or was the girl plain edgy towards the act itself? But when he received the call a couple of hours ago inviting him to meet up with her, all his questions suddenly vanished. Maybe Leah wasn’t just ready before and now that she finally made up her mind then maybe, just maybe he can finally do it with her.
Leah asked him to wait for her at a convenience store near where she had her meeting. Nishikido had been waiting for fifteen minutes now. He was so bored with just standing alongside the road, looking at people passing by him that he decided to examine his surroundings for the nth time. The place was unfamiliar to him. It was his first time being here, being in this street. He found the place calm and quite but which place wouldn’t be calm and quite at this time of the night. It was already 9:45 and he assumed that students like him should have been at home doing their home works. Students who went home early just to finish their home works were good students and it’s not like he was a good student. He was actual the opposite though.
His eyes trailed two middle age men as they walked pass him and went inside the convenience store. As the middle age men entered, two young men exited after them. One guy was taller than the other. The two were obviously very close to each other, evident by the sweet smiles and slight touches they were exchanging. He also observed the shorter guy wearing a green apron with the store’s name written all over it. That was when Ryo deduced that that guy was working at the convenience store. He was about to shift his attention away from the well-acquainted men who were now talking at a low lit alley beside the store when he realized that the shorter man’s smile was somehow familiar to him. He racked his brain remembering where he had seen that smile. He then gazed back at the conversing two as his sight zoomed in on the shorter guy. He felt the world grew more silent when he realized who that familiar person in front of him was. It was no other than the guy whom he hated so much, the guy who bravely confessed to him. It was Ueda Tatsuya!
Surprised? He was. Surprised about what? Ryo wasn’t also sure. He knew the guy had a lot of part-time jobs and he did hear Jin or was it Kame speaking of the latter’s work at the convenience store and about him going home late at night, all tired and worn out from the day’s activities. As if he cared about how tired and late that girly looking man went home! He then looked at Ueda’s companion. He knew all to well that height. He had seen it just a couple of days ago when Nakamaru and Kame were discussing their friend’s love life. He bet with everything that he has and everything that he got that the guy beside Tatsuya was no other than Taguchi Junnosuke! A smirk was seen on his face as he continued staring at the two. Oh, he would just love to mock Jin about his idea of Ueda being the one for him! The guy did not last at all! When he realized that, he felt a speck of something painful somewhere deep within him. He immediately shrugged that insignificant feeling away. He didn’t actually think it was worth feeling about in the first place.
Surprised, he was. But why? Well, maybe because he can’t understand that annoying man’s way of thinking on why he wanted to hide the fact that he knew that dumb looking, towering man beside him. If Ueda did tell others that he knew Taguchi then he, Nishikido Ryo, will be free from being paired up with him, from being blamed by their friends every time the delicate-looking man was sad or depress. The best part of that announcement was that Akame will now stop formulating crazy ideas on how to try and get them together. Hooray wonderful idea! He can’t think of anything more remarkable than that kind of declaration but again why was Ueda concealing the truth? It’s not like Maru and Kame would be against their relationship; that was if those two were really in a relationship. Maybe Ueda did not want others to know that he’s gay or maybe both guys don’t want their true sexuality to be exposed, that idea could also be true. The sooner those two reveal the true nature of their relationship the better for him. Freedom was beckoning him. Freedom…He focused his attention back at the two smiling pair. This was actually one of the few times he saw Ueda smile like that. Whenever they were around each other, the older man would always have that scowl on his face. It’s not like he could blame the guy. He always acted like a dumb ass whenever the older one was around.
Ueda had a beautiful magical smile, a smile that could infect the hearts of anyone around the elder guy except for him, Nishikido. He glanced back at the conversing men. He saw Ueda’s smile grew bigger with something Taguchi said. Puns maybe? Then he saw the tall man lay his hand on Tatsuya’s shoulder abruptly halting the latter’s laughter while a serious atmosphere started to envelop them. He can’t clearly see the details of their act because of the little brilliance around the two nearing persons but he was quite sure that they were intently gazing at each other’s eyes. He was so damn sure. The thing about that scene was it actually made Ryo so irritated for reasons he can’t discern. He wanted to tore them apart, to destroy that spellbinding moment they were in, to erase that beam on the older man’s face, to have the taller guy leave the other one alone and sad, to…. He wanted to do a lot of things just to have those two separated because seeing them like that just got on to his nerves. He desired to throw something at them, anything as long as they dispersed after being hit. He recalled seeing a small paper box not far from where he was standing. Ryo thought that maybe he could use that innocent object to act out his plan. With that consideration, he was actually feeling a little bit glad as he displayed a sly smirk on his face. He was about to move nearer to his object of desire when he suddenly felt someone looped an arm around his.
