Title: You Remind Me
Pairing: Ryoda, Akame, Tanaka and a few others on the sidelines
Rating: PG 13 ( I guess.)
Genre: Romance ( not to sure as to what genre this fic will be in except for what I've stated)
Summary: Ueda Tatsuya confessed to his crush Nishikido Ryo but it seems that the latter loathes him for a lot of reasons. But nothing more could surpass Ryo's hatred for Tatsuya's face. What is it with Ueda's face that made Nishikido abhor the older one? (Honestly, I'm not really good with summaries but I hope somehow i got my point through.)
A/N: Everyone this is my first time writing a fic, a multi-chapter for that too. After months of just reading fics written by others, I decided to write one for myself. The idea for this fic had been on my mind for quite a long time now after hearing Usher's
You Remind Me . I just love that song! I'm really not so confident with my work but hey...better try than regretting not doing it later! So i hope you'll like this one and comments are so welcomed and loved but please go easy on me. I'm still a child in this field.^_^
CHAPTER
1 CHAPTER 2
Kamenashi and Ueda were walking along the school’s covered short passage to the other building, heavily engrossed in their own conversation.
“Tat-chan…” Kamenashi, also known as Kame to people close to him, uttered in a very sad voice as he glanced at his friend’s direction.
“Kame thanks for what you and Akanishi had been doing for me but….this has and will forever be a one-sided love. I’ve known it from the start. Doing more after confessing, I think it’s just pointless.” Ueda stated in a subdued tone as he stopped from his tracks and looked at the concern face his friend was giving him.
“But it’s not pointless Tat-chan! Why give up the fight when you’ve already just begun?” Kamenashi cried out as he showed his half-confuse, half-determined look. He slowly came near his unmoving acquaintance as he firmly grasped the latter’s arms.
It is Kame. It’s pointless. My confession to him was not the start of something. Although, I hoped deep in my heart that it was but it wasn’t. It’s a way of closure for me Kame. It is a way of telling myself, of confirming that what is before me, what reality is showing me is this and not something my mind imagined to be.” Tatsuya explained in a tone so low and so sad it made Kame’s heart break into pieces
Tatsuya gradually removed the other’s hold on him as he softly patted the latter by the arm. “At least, he’s not treating me indifferently.” He articulated as he gave out a forced smile.” He still acts like an ass around me. I guess I’m happy with that.” He added still with that fake smile of his. Kazuya gave out a loud sigh and after a few seconds a supple chuckle was heard from him. Ueda can’t clearly see the other’s face for Kame was looking down when such sounds were heard coming from him. He eyed his friend curiously, one eyebrow arched higher than the other, as the fake smile was now gone from his lips. He can’t help but wonder if his friend had gone crazy because of the things he had been burdening the other since he realized he had feelings for a certain person named Nishikido Ryo. He anxiously called out the other’s name hoping with all hope that his friend wouldn’t laugh so hard and loud and later on going amuck. He doesn’t want to see his friend turn out like that. And he also doesn’t want to hear a certain Akanishi whine nonstop of what he had done to his lover. He called out Kame’s name again as he the latter still did not respond to his call. He slowly reached for his friend’s shoulder, planning to shake the younger one back to his sense that is if his friend’s brain really went haywire. His fingers were now a couple of inches from touching Kame’s shoulder when he heard meek cackles. He became stiff as he intently watched the man before him, slowly withdrawing the hand he extended back at his side, his safe side. The meek cackles turned into boisterous laughter as he saw his friend bend forward due to happiness.
“You’re really an M are you? People would be so surprised if they knew that with your feminine looks being hurt turns you on.” He said still laughing very hard as tears starts to fall down from his eyes with his right arm on his stomach and his left hand was flailing up and down in the air. Suddenly, a whoosh sound and a loud smack was the only remaining sound that could be heard in the hallway. Gone was Kamenashi’s boisterous laughter as it was immediately replaced by a louder shriek.
“Ouch! Tat-chan that hurts!” The younger man complained with a pouting face as he massaged the head that his friend whacked just a few minutes ago.
“Kame, don’t act all too sissy. I didn’t even hit you that hard.” He said while glaring at the still brooding man. He was now starting to take a few steps away from his friend as he heard grumbles from behind. He stopped from his tracks, shifted his position a little to his side as he glanced back at his friend. Kamenashi was mumbling words that Ueda can’t seem to make. The younger one was evidently sulking and was acting hurt just like the behavior he often saw Jin acting out. He can’t help but think who influenced who with this behavior. Was it Jin who influenced Kame or was it the other way around? One thing he is sure though, Kamenashi and Akanishi surely matched each other!
“Stop that pretending act of yours. We already need to be there in about…” Tatsuya paused as he glanced at his watched.” Fifteen minutes or we’ll really be in for the frying.” He stated flatly but somehow that made the pouting man feel a chill run down his spine. He quickly ended his sulking and complains as he got beside his friend as they started walking towards their destination. Without Ueda’s knowledge, the tears that his friend wiped away before they left the passage were tears shed by Kame for him and not because of the humorous idea the younger one thought of.
Ueda Tatsuya is two years older than Kamenashi Kazuya. In all truth, he never really imagined that they will become close friends in the future. Kamenashi was assertive while he was not that assertive at most of the times. The younger one always acts perfectly. It’s as if he was programmed to do well in everything and nothing else. The guy’s good in singing, he can dance, act, knows how to play a guitar, excellent at baseball, have interesting hobbies- i.e. photography, cars, is a good cook. Not only that, he is also calm, friendly, very confident and cool, not that intelligent but at least the lad always made it in the Top 20 standings. Tatsuya imagined that if Kamenashi farts in front of a group of people he would still look so cool! Kamenashi Kazuya just emits perfection in every part of his being and that somehow annoys him. Kamenashi was just the plain opposite of Ueda. He knows that nobody in this world could be that perfect, na-ah that’s plain impossible. That was why when they had their first encounter, Ueda, due to all his pent up frustrations towards the said guy, punched him hard and strong on the face. He was more shocked when the calm and always composed Kamenashi Kazuya punched him back. And that was how their friendship started. They still have their petty fights from time to time but for the past months it doesn’t involve any hurling of punches and kicks. Somehow their fights matured from physical injuries to verbal assaults and some pouting, whining and pleading on the sidelines. Their fights were not the only ones who matured in the one year of their friendship. The two also matured greatly. Tatsuya was more opened, friendlier towards other people. He was now more confident of himself and his talents and abilities. Kamenashi had become more human than he was before. He would sometimes display his flaws in public and admitting the unintelligent, stupid mistakes he made. Though they haven’t greatly talked about their manner of becoming friends, both of them silently acknowledge it as one of the great blessings they received in their life. Because of Kamenashi he was also able to confess to the man he loves, Nishikido Ryo.
Nishikido was a year younger than him, a short man with a very huge ego and a sharp poison tongue to match. He doesn’t know why but ever since Nishikido laid his eyes on him annoyance, anger and sometimes hatred could be seen reflected on his eyes whenever the younger man looked at him. Tatsuya also finds it weird that Nishikido has something against his face. He just can’t find reasons why the latter abhorred his face. He knows he looks too girly for a man. The heck, he also hates it but what does Nishikido wants him to do? Grow a long elf looking beard, get a tattoo all over his body, have piercings on his face or maybe have his long copper colored hair dyed to black and cut it in Mohawk style just to appease the Osakan’s taste? Aside from harboring hatred towards his face, Nishikido always lashed out harsh words to him, words which he find more hurtful because it was said by the person he liked so much. He, being the not so confident Tatsuya and feeling the hopelessness and pain of a man in love, always cried whenever Ryo did those kinds of things to him. A couple of months ago he decided to end this desperate feeling but as to how he still had no idea. But that problem was easily solved when he shared his realization to his close friend Kamenashi who in turn suggested that he confessed to the bullying man. Kamenashi suggested such act because he can’t help but believe and hope that just like he and his boyfriend Jin, Nishikido and Tatsuya are also perfect for each other. Tatsuya on the other hand accepted such suggestion because he felt that it was a final act of settling the emotions he felt, a way of moving on and letting go. But after his confession, the Akame couple had been getting them together by any means possible. Tatsuya was ok with such idea at first but later on changed his mind when he saw how easily irritated Nishikido became whenever they put their crazy plans to action. He can’t help but asked himself if Nishikido’s dislike to him was that great to be able to earn such immense reaction from the latter. Why is Nishikido so pissed at him anyways? As far as he can remember, he didn’t do anything wrong to the man and when he actually confessed he made it clear to the younger one that he was not expecting that his feelings would be reciprocated. Just telling the Osakan of his true feelings was enough for Tatsuya so why does he feel that Nishikido’s distaste to him is growing immensely.
