So, it looks like the bell may be tolling for LJ - there are impending changes in beta that will substantially alter the way LJ looks and operates (making it more like Tumblr), and I anticipate that this will drive a lot of users away.  Also, LJ's US office is closing.  Some links to read about this are below ( Read more... )

Thanks for all the input.  It sounds like most people think it will be a good idea to wait until the spring to do another Give and Take round.  So I'm thinking that means late February or early March for prompt submission and then maybe having stories due by May.  I'll see what the Big Bang schedule is for the reverse bang and adjust accordingly.

Hey, you all probably noticed that we didn't have a Give and Take challenge this fall... with the Big Bang and TS Secret Santa, it seemed like there were a lot of challenges going on, and it seems to me that our little fandom's not so big that we can afford to have too many challenges going on at once ( Read more... )
