So, I've just got back from a holiday staying at Walmer Castle with family; sometimes holidays can be difficult, and little things can bug me. I tried as much as I could to see the humour in little mishaps, like Mum spilling a bottle of fruit juice in the fridge in the flat we were staying in. I walked into Universal Studios behind this guy - his back to front baseball cap conveyed an amusing message (Disney brand - "BEING GRUMPY ROCKS"), but unfortunately I had forgotten to turn the artistic filter off on my camera that I'd been playing around with.

So, Season 11 of the Walking Dead was a bit of a slog - it really sagged in the middle, and I found the Commonwealth really hard to care about for ages.

I really enjoyed the last few episodes though, glad I stuck with it.

1. What was the first album you ever bought?

I think I got into buying albums really late, when I was in my early twenties; I was a weird teenager.

I'm sure my first one was Kylie's "Hits +" album; I had a real crush on her when I was younger, and still do.

I got back into watching the Walking Dead last night - I realised I need to see those last episodes for completeness, even though I am not finding that Commonwealth plot interesting. Trust this season to run to an extra two episodes, so I'll take even longer to finish. I'm definitely struggling with this show now ( Read more... )

A day when I've trying to keep my emotions in check, and stop dwelling on the things in the past I can't change, or projecting hypothetical future situations.

I'll set myself a goal for the end of November, which is to organise a first mentoring session; I really hope that I learn who my mentee is soon (and that I get picked).
