the bad --

I have a torn disc in my back. the torn section is lying on top of a nerve. i am, and have been, in constant, excrutiating pain. or at best, intense discomfort. either that, or I'm on drugs. sometimes they work, and I can function "normally". other times, like last night, they don't, and the expression "living ( Read more... )

it was enjoyable but nothing spectacular. i think my biggest issues are -

1) it did nothing to romanticize space, the whole final frontier idea. space was just a big place they got to shoot through at warp speed all the time. the future felt banal.

the HP3 RE5 Pre-conditioning has begun. which is to say: last night I bought a PS3.  as a neat bonus, best buy had a deal I knew nothing of until I was standing in the store -- buy a PS3, get a 50$ gift card and a free copy of guitar hero 3. so now we have guitar hero 3 and Dead Space. I keep kicking myself for lacking the self-discipline to set+follow deadlines regarding my music.....so I'm taking advantage of this bit of "outside influence," so to speak.
