I posted about my idea to Make  Bailey's Banana Colada Cupcakes here. And now I have the recipe IN PROGRESS for you. It still needs some tweaking. Please, make suggestions!

After numerous taste tests we have determined that the flavors that stand out are: chocolate, banana & liquor.

Somehow I the following flavors got lost: Bailey's & coconut.

I would simply add cococut flavoring to the filling afer its boiled. I think the cooking is breaking down that flavor.

For the cupcake try playing around with some instant coffee in the recipe.

I would-
add coconut flavoring to filling (already mentioned)
sprinkle toasted coconut on top (already mentioned)
try a better tasting chocolate in your glaze, or make a ganach instead of glaze
use the baily's instead of rum in the glaze/ganach
add a chocolate dipped slice of banana on top of the frosting

I'll add my 2 cents by saying that Bailey's comes out nice and strong in a sugary frosting, so perhaps switching the flavors of the components like other people have suggested would be a good thing.
And definitely look into adding some instant coffee or cooled, fresh brewed coffee to your cupcakes.
