I wish there was another word for "meatballs" that don't contain meat.

But "vegetarian balls" just conjures up the most ... appalling images ...

(The recipes both sound very tasty, nonetheless)...

I wish I had thought to call them croquettes. Bean balls or even vegetarian meatballs doesn't sound too appealing.

I think I've made croquettes once. Pepperoni and rice with mozzarella. I don't think they went over very well so I haven't tried again. I probably should now that I have a new husband and kids who are more interested in variety.
