Yesterday was the pre-school graduation. It went surprisingly well and was relatively short, in comparison to previous years. Following that we had a farewell party for the senior therapist who is retiring. Overall a good day

focussing on the now, on the present is proving tough for me as well. And when people give me the "ooh, well why don't you just meditate and it will fix everything?" I get violent urges. The thing about meditation, especially if you have deep memories of sadness is that it can make you swim through the sinkholes before finally rising out into observer state. No thanks, that is too much work when I need to function in the here and now even if I don't fully inhabit it.

Thank you. I have a small cheering squad these days but that's enough. Too many people just don't get why we (the families) struggle so much and think it's high time we get back to living. They just don't understand how hard we are trying to do that. The problem is, at least for me, I forget what it feels like to really live and not just cope. *Hugs you hard* I hope that damn pneumonia stops kicking your ass soon. You've been in my thoughts.
