~ Drabble Cycle Round 3 ~ Periodic Table
Okay, guys! Sorry this took a lot longer than I thought it would to get up. But, in the great tradition of Alphabet Soup and Around the Clock, we're now going to start up the Periodic Table drabble cycle challenge!
There are over a hundred elements in the Periodic Table, but we've cut it down to the first 30 in order to keep it more in line with the first two challenges. So here's what our table looks like:

RULES:
- To finish the challenge you have to write 30 drabbles, one for each of the elements listed in the table above. If you finish you get the pride of knowing you accomplished something, yay!
- The element prompts can be interpreted as literally or as loosely as you'd like. Iron can just be iron, Copper can refer to the color, and Phosphorus could refer to somebody with an explosive personality. There just has to be some kind of connection back to the element.
- You can post your drabbles in any order and at any time (although we'll probably be closing it out and starting a new round in about a year, so you do have a deadline).
- Drabbles must follow general community rules - femslash, no more than 250 words.
- For this challenge each participant is going to claim a single unique subject. This can be a pairing, a character, a fandom, a genre, etc (and for this challenge, picking a genre to write original fiction in is allowable). And if somebody claims a character you can still use that character in a pairing, or if someone has claimed your fandom you can still pick a character from within that fandom. You can make a second claim, but only if you've finished the first one. Comment to this post to make a claim.
- You'll index the stories yourself - you can either use the table (code below), or if the table breaks your layout and/or you don't like it you can always just list the prompts out. You can make the index post either to the community or to your own journal, and then you'll add stories to it as you complete them. Comment to the post when you've finished the table!
- And please tag all entries for this drabble cycle 'periodic table', thank you!

Thanks to projectjulie for this! It works best with a 780px wide layout, but it should compress down to 650px. Any smaller than that and you might just want to use a list.
To make it work all you have to do is replace the wikipedia link for the element with a link to your drabble, and then replace where it says UNFINISHED with a discription of your drabble (title, word count, pairing, whatever you want).
