Drabble Cycle Round 4 ~ The Tarot (NOW CLOSED)
So, finally, I present to you our fourth round of the drabble cycles! If you're unfamiliar with the concept, you might want to check out our past rounds of Alphabet Soup, Around the Clock, and The Periodic Table.
The full Tarot deck has 74 cards (give or take a few, I think, depending on whose deck you're using), which seems a little excessive for our purposes. So this challenge will be limited to the Major Arcana, or the 22 trump cards. Click the cut for more:

RULES:
- To finish the challenge you will have to write 22 drabbles, one for each of the cards listed in the table above.
- The prompts can be interpreted as literally or as loosely as you'd like. You can refer to the title of a card, its meaning, or some of the imagery normally found in the illustration.
- You can post your drabbles in any order and at any time before the deadline of July, 2010.
- You can continue to make claims right up until the deadline.
- Your drabbles must follow general community rules - femslash, no more than 250 words, etc.
- For this challenge each participant is going to claim a single unique subject. This can be a pairing, a character, a fandom, a genre, etc (and for this challenge, picking a genre to write original fiction in is allowable). And if somebody claims a character you can still use that character in a pairing, or if someone has claimed your fandom you can still pick a character from within that fandom.
- You can make a second (and a third and etc.) claim, but only after you've finished the first one.
- If you didn't finish your claim from an earlier drabble cycle that doesn't preclude you from making a claim in this one.
- You'll index the stories yourself - you can either use the table (code below), or if the table breaks your layout and/or you don't like it you can always just list the prompts out. You can make the index post either to the community or to your own journal, and then you'll add stories to it as you complete them. Comment to this post when you've finished the table and I'll add you to the list of people who've finished.
- Please tag all your entries for this drabble cycle 'tarot cards'.
- You are allowed to cross-post your drabbles to other communities and journals (in accordance with their rules, obviously). Just remember to post a link to them to our comm at some point - you can either post as you're doing them or wait and post your whole table when you're done. Either way. And if you're cross-posting a link back to the comm is always nice!
And for the lazy, the highlights of the above paragraph are basically: the deadline is July 17th 2010, your tag for this challenge is "the tarot", and you make your claims as a comment on this post.

This is just an edited version of the table we used last cycle, so thanks again to projectjulie for that! It's designed to be 600px wide, but it should compress down some.
To make it work all you have to do is replace the wikipedia link for the tarot card with a link to your drabble, and then replace where it says UNFINISHED with a description of your drabble (title, word count, pairing, whatever you want). You can also replace the star tag with a pairing name or title, if you'd like.
