another sick day. my tax refund has more than made up for the wages i would be making today, so normally this would not irk me so much, but alix (of high school fame) is in boston this week and tonight was the only night we could have gotten together. we were going to go to the MFA! and get italian food in the north end! sigh.

my brother-in-law offered to use his warehouse membership* to enter the fan club seating lottery for the dave matthews band show at madison square garden in april and get me a really good seat - AND to buy me the ticket - but i had to turn him down because ( Read more... )

so, originally i was going to come home from massachusetts saturday night. then susan talked me into leaving on sunday (she didn't have to try very hard).

then, ( there was united airlines. )

so friday we went to liverpool. we got back last night. it was excellent. perhaps i'll put pictures up if i get enough time alone with sweet lady internet.

however, once i got home i reentered the perpetual state of frustration i had been in before i left. this is due to three main problems, the first of which complicates the other two:

anyway, as i was about to say (but could not because i had to go to work), first great western rail lines is now about to receive about 500-600 pounds (pounds, mind you) of my money, even though neither they nor i have any record of me actually purchasing any train tickets.

i overslept and forgot about my doctor's appointment.
