well, had both a relaxing and relatively productive weekend.

friday joe and i went out to macaroni grill to celebrate my birthday (which was thursday, but we had to go to club thurs to teach and all). mmm...tasty goodness. then we stopped and perused at barnes and noble for a while, and i picked up the memory keeper's daughter which i'll read ( Read more... )

i am at open eye. i should be grading the pile of classwork + the embarrassingly small stack of essays from my seniors. i have a whopping 22/52 essays turned in. they were due on monday last week. pathetic ( Read more... )

item #1: finished reading book #37 of 2007, the outlaws of sherwood by robin mckinley. yes, it's a robin hood story. it was pretty good. easy read.

i'm now reading the forest lover by susan vreeland. it's a book that several customers at b&n had bought and mentioned that it was good, and we happen to have a class set of them in my classroom ( ( Read more... )
