very excited about having an extra day off this weekend, especially since i don't have to travel at all. this is a good thing, since i really need to get my final exams ready since exams start friday.
went and saw spiderman 3 yesterday with joe and sue (his co-worker). it was good. not having ever read the comic books, i know nothing of how true it stays to them, but the movie was good :)
finished reading memoirs of a geisha earlier this week, so i'll probably watch the movie some time this weekend, since i don't actually remember how closely it follows. i enjoyed the book, even if i did want to slap the main character at a couple of points. now i'm on to reading the once and future king since it's been on my list forever and i've just never gotten to it. i'll have to reread HP books 4-6 before book 7 comes out (1-3 i've read enough i can practically recite them, so i probably won't reread those) since i'm a little sketchy on the details since i haven't read them in a while.
joe and i are probably going to go look at some houses this weekend, not with our realtor, but just driving through the area to see if they're houses we'd like to see. we've already done a few pre-quals, so we know roughly how much of a mortgage we could get. ideally, we'd find a place before we left, so we could bid on it, and then have all that crazy inspection stuff taken care of while we're out of the country. at least, so said kandyce. molan, you were right...she's great. or at least she has been so far :)
oh! that reminds me. hey molan, are you two available to petsit june 13-june 28? i'm leaving for poland with joe on the 12 after work (to drive to join the rest of the family...we're flying together). we fly back on june 25th, but will probably chill in jersey for at least a day or 2 before heading back. any petsitters are sure to be rewarded with undying gratitude (and probably some pretty swank polish candies and such).
and now, i'm off to vana'diel. my goal is to get whm to lvl75 before we leave for poland. i'm currently at 73...wheee...
