One of the things I forgot to mention yesterday was that we were pretty much snowed in.  Yes, I did eventually get us dug out, but it took about four hours (maybe more) with the snowblower to dig just enough room to get the cars moving.  We didn't get the bowling alley open, though we did go to town later in the afternoon for a few things.  ( Read more... )

Another crazy weekend!

I headed out to Shaunavon on Friday morning, having packed the truck and trailer as much as I could.  This trip took out some of the heaviest items; The entertainment console, an electric organ, (more) books, my MIG welder, filing cabinet, a deepfreeze full of food, and a bunch of other smaller items.  As mentioned in the ( Read more... )

    One of the first things I did this morning was to replace the kitchen faucet.  The old one was leaking pretty badly, and although the sink had a hole for a little shower-head, one had never been installed.  Although the old faucet was pretty worn out, at least the connections to it had been done properly (a rare thing in this house, it seems ( Read more... )
