Calvin has been home for almost a month now and he is turning out to be quite the gentleman. He has impeccable ground manners and is a big goof. i'm sure we all know someone like this.

You may remember my post about Cracker coming up lame last year after a farrier appointment, didn't ride her, vet looked at her, was fine, blah blah blah.

The vet did mention there was an old tendon injury when she looked at her last year but that's not what was bothering her.

I've been using my current vet since January of this year - since I bought the baby. Many horsie friends I know use them as well, and I've gotten to know them quite a bit over the past 8+ months. I know it hasn't been that long, but I've always been on time to meet them at appointments, had my horse ready, and paid promptly in full for services ( Read more... )

 My vet is coming out on Monday to draw blood for a Lyme Disease test on my mare.  She has been unsound for about a year now with no real issue that we can find (gave her time off, X-Rays) and isn't really lame, but is just overall stiff and unsound.  My farrier said that she reminded him of a client's horse who ended up having Lyme Disease so we' ( Read more... )

This is a long shot but I thought it may be worth it.

Does anyone know of a good vet in the Canby, Oregon area?  The borrowed pony needs a West Nile vaccine and possibly a float.  Unfortunately, our regular vet skipped town and didn't bother to tell anyone.
