One of the horses at the yard was diagnosed with impaction colic yesterday morning. (He was in terrible pain and it looked like he had been suffering overnight) He was rushed to Newmarket for emergency surgery and had a two foot long impaction removed. I had a major scare with Linus this week. This morning we picked him up from New Bolton after he colicked on Thursday. Luckily, it was a mild impaction and it was resolved with two days of IV fluids. My vet was positive he was a surgical case, but luckily I didn't have to make the decision to either empty out all my bank accounts or put him down ( Read more... )
