I'm looking for advice about how to get a horse to pay more attention to his feet. I'm sponsoring a 23 y.o. Arabian trail horse who recently tripped on a rock (I think) and fell, crushing my right leg (which I managed to escape with just a torqued leg, no break or sprain). Hey! My 13-yr-old daughter's TB mare kicked a gate this past weekend and sheared off the bottom of her outside sesamoid on her right hind, taking a good portion of sesamoidean ligament with it. Calvin has been home for almost a month now and he is turning out to be quite the gentleman. He has impeccable ground manners and is a big goof. Dad and I took the horses out for a ride today. It started out horribly terrifying but ended up being a really positive experience for not only me and my dad, but also for the horses.
