Mission Post - Shuttle Bay, Day 13 [open/ unfinished]

Sep 23, 2009 19:44

It was a bumpy ride -- of course, because no one sane ever made a shuttle craft with a smooth ride -- all the way up, outside and in. After surviving a hostile abduction, the bizarre bastard child of a political intrigue and a ceremonial sacrifice, they'd escaped. Only to maybe be done in by killer sex spores ( Read more... )

Sky regained conciousness as the Shuttle landed. Well landed wasn't quite the right word for it. Skidded was a better one. Thumped down was too. Either way it wasn't a soft landing, and the young Lieutenant blinked, as her world came back into focus and she realised where exactly she was, and what was happening around her. Blue eyes watched the debauchery happening all around, saw the coupling, and saw some people just taking what they wanted. Her stomach lurched, squeezed mercilessly, and her body shuddered. She could feel it, the heat, the burn of sexual need, but she was a) strapped down, and b) unbelievably frightened by what was occouring around her.

Goddammit what was happening?

Her hand scrabbled for the catches of her strappings, and as the doors to the shuttle craft slid open, she flicked the catch. She was free, and she was getting the fuck out of there before anyone could try that 'taking' thing with her again. She shot to her feet and lunged out the door, hand automatically curling around the sword that she had been ( ... )

The few times things really got outta hand -- and that was taking that phrasing very carefully -- Leonard or Spock had tried to keep things in check. First thing he'd done once on-board and Sky was secured for flight was grab a shuttle medkit. He'd pulled the melanex from it and set it for increments that'd be enough to put a person down without burying them. Then he'd hypoed with impunity. Spock.... well, Spock did his own thing. Leonard didn't have time to wonder, so long as the man wasn't killing any more people.

Jim was rather preoccupied with his own business.

That said, he thought they had the situation under as much control as three men could when dealing with an orgy in the making. Then the shuttle did that thing they were calling a landing, and Leonard's stomach nearly landed as well. All over the inside of his biomask. He managed to keep it in check. Good thing too, as he wouldn't have been in any shape to chase after Sky.

Shit, she couldn't leave quarantine if she was infected ( ... )

Having an aviophobic doctor on one side, and a rather...enamoured leader on the other, Kirk had his hands full. Lady Boudicca was practically in his lap, her arm wrapped around him and her body hot and heavy against his skin. Kirk had expected her to be swayed by his charm, certainly -- but it was never in his wildest dreams that he'd figured that he'd be uncomfortable with a gorgeous woman tugging at his zipper or grinding her palm against his crotch ( ... )

Sky whirled when she heard Leonard, feeling security personel closing in on her. Deep down the reasonable scientist in her was barking out orders to stand, be sensible, don't act like such a melodramatic girl. But she had gotten a good dose of the golden spores and right now, the reasonable scientist wasn't getting the airplay she should have ( ... )

Leonard heard the announcement and felt a little relief. Not that the situation was anywhere close to contained, but more fingers hopefully meant fewer leaks to plug. Looking about the Bay as more people began to spill from the shuttle craft, he wondered which leak to attempt next. Going with protocol was always the best. He couldn't tell what kind of situation Jim and Spock were finding themselves in right now.

"Bridge to Shuttle Bay, this is McCoy! We're got an emergency situation. Quarantine's been broken. We've got an infected runnin' loose, Scotty! Security's on it, but this shit's an airborne pathogen. Means of infection is respiratory! Do you copy, Bridge?"

Cassie walked back over to her clothes giggling as she did. As much as she didn't feel too bad right now, in-fact she felt damned good, she knew that something wasn't right. She didn't usually strip her clothes of like this in the middle of a corridor. She knew that if she didn't do something soon she wouldn't be able to ( ... )

"Ah, bollocks!" Scotty said. Not exactly good comm etiquette as the Academy taught it, but he felt the situation merited it. He drummed his fingers on the console. "Is there anyone else can take the conn? I need to be down in engineering. If we can make some modifications to life support, we might be able to filter it out of the air."

Someone else on conn? Shit, he couldn't remember who was next in the chain of command. Well, more like who was left in the chain of command. If they weren't stuck in the shuttle bay with him, they were likely running around the ship right now, either infected or chasing the infected. Strangely, just as he was about to answer another voice came through the commlink. Ironically, it was another Lieutenant Commander -- in... Engineer? They had more than one in Engineering? -- but from the sounds of things, she wouldn't be much help either. Christ on a crutch, they hadn't been here 10 minutes and things were going to hell.

"Eh, McCoy here... Cassandra? Would ya hold on a second? I've got something ta tell Mr. Scott." MacArthur? The name was kinda familiar, but it hadn't been two weeks into the voyage yet. Most people were still nameless and new to him. "Scotty? Is Uhura still on the bridge? I think she's what's left in seniority. Whatever ya intend ta do, man, do it fast. Those of us in here are safe with the quarantine's ( ... )

Kirk was having his own difficulties, and consulted on the Bridge with Uhura in order to let her communicate throughout the ship in order to make certain that no one else would enter the direct area. If they could just limit the infection to one area of the ship, Scotty would be able to filter the air of the allergen.

Which, despite him being covered in the stuff, had yet to cause anything to happen to the Captain. As he looked around, Bones and Spock seemed to be the only ones not quite affected, which seemed strange. His eyes wandered around the room, overseeing the decontaminant chamber and glancing back at Bones. "I want this stuff quarantined as much as we can get it, Dr. McCoy." He slipped into a more professional, much more like a captain tone. "I need to get back to the bridge and run my ship. Lady Boudicca...if you would please, wait in line in order to become -" He was cut off by her hand suddenly snaking up his shirt, and a sharp bite to his earlobe. For the first time in what seemed like forever, Kirk actually flushed ( ... )

Leonard turned and smiled a bit wanly through the biomask, half-taking Jim's apology as an allusion to the trash-talk he'd just been party to. Didn't really occur to him as anything other than his job. Supporting Jim as his captain, making sure he could do that job to the best of his ability. But Leonard caught what he meant, and quickly grasp his shoulder to say 'We'll get through this."If it was the last thing he did, he'd see to it ( ... )

Cassie made her way down to the shuttle bay. She looked down to see that she wasn't wearing her uniform. Hell, she wasn't really wearing all that much at all. Nothing but her briefs. Thing was, she couldn't really remember where she had left her uniform. It was out there somewhere.

She knew that she needed help and Doc McCoy was there. Oh god he had a sexy voice. And now she came to think about it, the rest of him was kind of sexy too. Throwing her head back, she realized that she wanted, needed, craved contact of a very physical nature. If she couldn't get it with him, she was sure that given time, she would find it with somebody. Even if she had to take it.

Without any sense of shame she walked in to the shuttle bay and shouted out, "HEY THERE HOT STUFF. I MADE IT SO WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO KNOW? IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE CARE OF ME I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY!"

Things were definitely and steadily going to hell when you answered to 'hot stuff'. And sure enough, Leonard looked up, more out of surprise to hear such words. Then an entirely new and paralyzing shock came over him.

"...Oh my fucking god...."

Well, there'd yet to be a force in Heaven or Hell that could get Leonard McCoy to shut his mouth for long.

He couldn't help the lack of professionalism. Shit, he couldn't help his eyeballs from nearly falling into his biomask. It was one thing to have naked people starting to wander about the shuttle bay, doing.... whatever kept them occupied. But it was another thing when the naked people started asking for him by name. Nickname. McCoy looked back to Kirk and Spock, hand waving them on and -- he couldn't lie now -- face flaming. "I'll handl-- ehhh.... take care of this." Hesitantly walking over to the young woman, studiously keeping his eyes front and straight on, he tried to tackle this as professionally as possible ( ... )

It had taken him some time, but he responded to Admiral Pike's hailing frequency, finally, what seemed like hours later.

As far as Commander Spock went, Kirk would have the Vulcan respond as soon as he could -- making certain that the bridge was fully taken care of, and immediately requesting that his first officer join him once everything else was handled. Kirk didn't think to wonder what he looked like -- sure, he had changed back into command gold and looked a might bit like his old self, but he had been pretty sure that when he'd gone back to his quarters that Lady Boudicca had made a damn right mess of his hair ( ... )

"I have it under control, Admiral." He responded wearily, running a hand through his hair. "Commander Spock will contact you with the details of our mission shortly. It has been succesful in some ways, but I fear that we'e having our own difficulties as a result."

He shifted in his seat. "Are you aware of the Bacchanalian Spores?"
