Day 12 Mission Post [OPEN/INCOMPLETE]
The shuttle was piloted down, down to where the first landing crew had arrived. Kirk was nervous, looking anywhere and everywhere for a sign of a struggle.
It was quiet, now, deathly quiet, and he started in towards the city, hoping he would be going into the right area. He hadn't tried communicating to the ship, not yet, not when they had just beamed down. His hand lingered over his phaser, prepared to break the Prime Directive -- the Bacchians had already done that by capturing his first officer, his CMO, and everyone else.
He felt the communicator fizzle with static, his hand whipping quick to grasp it from his belt. "This is James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise! Hello?"
A surge of hope ran through the young captain. At least the comm line was somewhat reliable -- he hoped, the unfortunate sinking in his stomach starting again when he heard nothing but static. "Hello?"
