Mission Post - Shuttle Bay, Day 13 [open/ unfinished]

Sep 23, 2009 19:44

It was a bumpy ride -- of course, because no one sane ever made a shuttle craft with a smooth ride -- all the way up, outside and in. After surviving a hostile abduction, the bizarre bastard child of a political intrigue and a ceremonial sacrifice, they'd escaped. Only to maybe be done in by killer sex spores ( Read more... )

Someone else on conn? Shit, he couldn't remember who was next in the chain of command. Well, more like who was left in the chain of command. If they weren't stuck in the shuttle bay with him, they were likely running around the ship right now, either infected or chasing the infected. Strangely, just as he was about to answer another voice came through the commlink. Ironically, it was another Lieutenant Commander -- in... Engineer? They had more than one in Engineering? -- but from the sounds of things, she wouldn't be much help either. Christ on a crutch, they hadn't been here 10 minutes and things were going to hell.

"Eh, McCoy here... Cassandra? Would ya hold on a second? I've got something ta tell Mr. Scott." MacArthur? The name was kinda familiar, but it hadn't been two weeks into the voyage yet. Most people were still nameless and new to him. "Scotty? Is Uhura still on the bridge? I think she's what's left in seniority. Whatever ya intend ta do, man, do it fast. Those of us in here are safe with the quarantine's reverse pressurization, but our patient zero seems already ta be spreadin'. This thing moves fast an' hard, Scotty. Wear a mask."

And on that note, Leonard switched tones, hoping not to scare off the woman like he did Sky. "Cassandra, you still there? Where're ya at, darlin'? Are ya okay? If you can, I need ya ta come to Shuttle Bay 1. Will ya do that fer me?"

"Right, right," he replied, valiantly trying to ignore the other conversations going on, "I'll leave Uhura on conn, try on work on something to get this stuff out of the air."

"You do that, and the drink will be on me," Leonard took a brief moment to smirk into the comm. It'd seemed so long ago after what he'd been through, but he hadn't forgotten that invitation. Lord knows he'd sure need a few stiff drinks after this. "Good luck. McCoy out."

"Oh hell yeah, I'm still here Doc Hey doc do you know that you are oooh so cute. Oh ... ooh I'm so sorry." Cassie swallowed hard and continued, "I'm somewhere on my way to the shuttlebay ... I think. Am I ok Doc? I feel good but that's not good. My mind wants to do things that right now I know are not what I should be doing. And .... oh god I'm going .... so going to regret this but .... oh my that voice of yours is ooooh so hot. It's making me want to ... oh god, .... you don't want to know what it's making me .... making me want to do. Are you sure ... sure you want me to .... to come ... to you? Not ... sure. Not sure ... I can ... can make ... but ... "

Cassie stopped. Her mind was racing, whatever restraint she had was slipping away. " Oh god Doc, I ... feel so strange ... I feel like I need to .... need." Then a very wicked thought came to mind, ' I wonder where .... the Chief is? Oh ... no, no. That is so wrong. Bad Cassandra."

... Whoa, that poor girl was wasted. Heat flared up inside his biomask so quickly, he almost believed he had a thermal pad stuck in it with him. Cleared his throat, herded his thoughts back together. "... That's okay, dar- Cassie. Details aren't necessary." He had a feeling his head was gonna get too full before this was over. Might as well make room now. "An' yes, I'd really like it if you could join me in Shuttle Bay 1." As long as the doors stayed closed -- time for that medical override -- the bay was the best place to isolate the infected until they could be decontaminated. Then it was to Sickbay for treatment. Quickly, Leonard continued, "If ya can't co- make it, though, I want you ta stay put. Understand, Cassie? I need you ta just have yerself a sitdown if you don't feel like walkin'." Bring the cavalry to you, and all that.

Which brought up another matter.

Punching in a new link, he threw on his CMO voice. "Shuttle Bay 1 to Sickbay, this is Dr. McCoy. Dr. Jovan, please respond. We have a Level 5 Quarantine Emergency. Initiate isolation and decontamination procedures. Get a bioteam to Bay 1 now! Coordinate with Security to track and isolate. Jovan, do you copy?"

Spock stood a little off to the side he wasn’t feeling very well at the moment. Ever since getting on the shuttle he had started to feel strange, he didn’t understand what was happening with his body. This was way too early for Pon Farr and on top of that being half human would make it even less likely for it to be such a thing. But the pollen…could it be the pollen? Being Vulcan would limit the probability of infection and even more likely to slow the infection down if he did get it. But…it could also mean the total opposite, he could get infected far worse and far faster than the others. He pushed those thoughts from his head once he heard the Doctor talking to someone over the comm. and the context of the conversation put the Vulcan on edge more than it should have. He moved to stand next to McCoy.

“Doctor is there anything I can do to help at the moment?” he tilted his head to the side. Spock knew that McCoy knew his stuff when it came down to the medical parts but other than that he may not be to sharp on the Starfleet regulations that take action when something such as this happens. Plus the man looked like he could use another man on the job.

Sammy rushed to the comm. and hit the button that let her talk to the doctor. “Sir,” she said in a clear voice. “This is Dr. Jovan we have sickbay set up for Level five Quarantine so that we can take you all down here for treatment once we get ya here,” her Australian accent had become thick as she rushed everywhere getting everything ready for the oncoming infection. She had all medical staff put a biomask on their belts just in case the infection get really bad and they needed the Doctors and med staff damn it. “I’ve got you a bioteam ready for dispatch now.” She looked back over at the five staff members checking themselves over again because Sam made them. “I have everything ready for ya sir, isolation and decontamination procedures are ready and have been checked over at least three times.” Sam nodded even though McCoy couldn’t see her. “I’ll send out the team, anything else sir?”

Leonard was about to turn and answer Spock, momentarily distracted by all that stealth-walking the Vulcan did. Damn, he was gonna have to put a bell on the man. The comm spoke back at him, then, and his attention belonged to his fellow doctor.

"Perfect! Commander Creed it tracking the infected patient now. We've gotta bring her in to Medbay, but she needs to be decontaminated first because she's covered in 'em damn spores. We've also gotta secondary infection, close by ta Bay 1. A female engineer. Patient zero has left a gold'n trail in her wake, Jovan. Scott's headin' ta Engineering t'figure a way t'filter the atmosphere." Things were serious enough it was like just the two accents were speaking to each other. "I need ya ta send a team ta clean up that trail, pick up both women, an' prime up the allergen database." Because he had a few theories about this sex dust. Looking back to Spock briefly, McCoy continued, "We're gonna begin decon shortly here. Under NO circumstances should enyone be 'lowed back into their quarters 'less I say so. I'll keep ya posted fer anything mo'. McCoy out."

Pausing for a deep breath, he finally turned to properly address the Commander. "Sir, we've gotta get the sterilization units runnin'. Only way I'm lettin' anyone -- you and the captain included -- outta here." He glanced over to the 'clean zone' they'd set up, looking like nothing more than a giant tin-foil box. But that tin-foil box was portable, sealed, and attached to a side maintenance door that was also sealed from the bay's environment.

Sammy listened carefully before nodding again. “Aye, aye Doctor,” she turned from the comm. as he went out and started to shout orders and send out her bioteam. The Australian was to stay in sickbay in case anyone needed anything and would direct from sickbay. “GO!” she yelled back over her shoulder at the men and women in their bio-uniforms, they scattered and went about to do their jobs.

Cassie listened to the Doctor, " I'm glad hot-stuff." she giggled, " If I gave you details of .... of what .. what I was thinking ... ooooh now .... that would be .... too much for you .... to .. to handle. Just like me." Cassie realized what she said, " So ... sooooo sorry Doc. Not my .... not myself."

Cassie knew that she was loosing it when her mind filled with thoughts of getting to shuttle bay 1 and taking Dr McCoy for her own pleasure. It was with that thought in mind that she took of her uniform top revealing her naked breasts, leaving her in just her briefs, with her communicator in her hands.

"Hey hot-stuff ... what's happening to me? I just feel .... so ..... oh god Doctor. Help me please. This is ooooh so wrong .... but oh god feels so good, so right." Cassie was really having to struggle to keep it together. She knew that it was only a matter of time before any restraint that she had would be gone.

"Doc. Doc ... you gotta ... gotta listen to me. I don't know how much .... longer ... I can keep it ... keep it together. Not .... not sure what ... I'm, I'm going to do now. Have craving, longings, needs, wants. And I don't understand ... why."

Cassie was beginning to sweat with the effort of trying to keep her mind together. " I want to try to ... make it to you. Pro ... promise that if I can't I will ... let you know." Then she added, "Send someone anyway. And tell who ... whoever is coming ... coming for me ... to be careful 'cause ... I don't ... know ... what will happen."

The comm came to life again behind Leonard and he turned away from Spock to hear... my god, who'd managed to hack into the Porn Subspace this time? Then he realized that all that nasty-talk was about him.

Holy shit, someone turn off the solar flare in here.

Well, the lady was right about one thing. Leonard was sure he wouldn't handle any of that. Forcing his throat to work again, he replied as calmly and professionally as possible. "... Not a problem, Cassie. We're all feeling a little...," freaked out, "... off, right now. It's just a little somethin' in the air, makin' us a might...," frightening, "... confused. I'm sending some doctors along here. If you're good to them, they'll patch you up real good. You just do that for me, yeah? Rest up and let someone take care of you." He grimaced at the unintentional double entendres there. Hopefully the girl was too far gone to catch those.

"We've gotta get workin' on the unit," he urged Spock just shy of desperate.
