It's raining! I was awakened by thunder and rain against my window a little while ago. So nice. I didn't think we were forecast for rain today (it was perfectly clear this morning), but I'm not complaining. I just hope Mom has her car windows up at work.

I am frustrated with my brain's alarm clock. It seems to think that 4:38 (exactly, which is also weird) is the time I need to wake up every morning. I do not like this at all, Sam I am. I got my gold card! I was so worried because the woman in the eligibility office seemed like one of those who would give you an extremely hard time if you forgot any important information. I am vindicated. As I thought, the law in Texas is that you must have personal liability coverage to legally operate a vehicle. The car itself does not have to be insured, nor does your insurance card need to identify the vehicle you are driving. I do want to mention that I finished the book The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. It's his first novel, and wow, is it a doozy. History mixes with present, fact with fiction, burn patients and mental patients, and some Dante's Inferno, thrown in for spice. It's amazing. I read it in 3 days. Which is pretty impressive for me. I had a crappy night's sleep - this on a new memory foam mattress topper WTH? - falling asleep at 12, then waking up at 6, 7, 8, and giving up at 9. Took a small nap from 11:30-1:30 because I had to. 1. Got my shots on Monday. The doctor still is awesome. PA, not so much. OMFGWTFBBQ does getting injections in facial nerves HURT. Like, getting an ice pick shoved in your eye, painful.
