Last year the General Assembly passed, and the Governor signed, HB 1626, which would annex a subdivision to the City of Guyton - pending approval by the qualified voters in a referendum thereon. The voters, by the way, were those residing in the subdivision to be annexed ( Read more... )

I haven't seen a single word in the AJC (or a single byte on AJC.com) mentioning a single race for the Georgia General Assembly. I know the GOP's maintaining control of both chambers was a foregone conclusion, but there were a handful of interesting races to cover, even locally.

vote NO on the license plate constitutional amendment (Constitutional Amendment #3)

If it passes, the General Assembly will be allowed to create license plates whose proceeds go to nonprofits. Sounds good, right?
