House just adjourned sine die.

Senate is still going.

I've never seen this before.

Went out and took some pictures of the madness around the TVs on the 3rd floor. Came back in as an amendment came in on a bill I accidentally picked up a few hours ago.

The Senate just passed HB 1168, which I worked on. Not sure what it did in the House.

The indigent defense bill, HB 1245, just passed the Senate handily.

It also passed the House.

The Senate just agreed, 47-0, to the House version of SR 822, which would allow the Governor to meet with his counterpart in Tennessee to discuss our boundary line. The old version called for a committee with Tennesseeans (I think) to talk about Georgia's getting a piece of the Tennessee River so we can use it to solve our water problems.

CON (SB 433) passes the Senate 44-6. Lt Gov calls it a "historic day."

CON passed the House a few hours ago.

CON is on the Senate floor right now.

I need to run home in a minute or two and get my ID. I forgot it in yesterday's pants. And I need to set out the dog's Fear of Thunder medicine for the dogsitter.

The Senate has adjourned for the day and announced they will return for Day 40 on Friday at 10:00 am. The House is still going, but there's no way to change the schedule now without the Senate in session to vote on anything ( Read more... )

In case you haven't heard, Sen Eric Johnson (President Pro Tem of the Senate) and Rep Barry Fleming (running for Congress) have introduced bills in the General Assembly that would require reciprocity with other states before Georgia puts any other states' stuff on our license plates. Like the Florida Gator tags. Or Auburn tags.
