[Alice is determined to find her Hatter, so much so, in fact, that she's gone ahead and gotten to work on that tea party she had invited you all to not so long ago! She's gone to a lot of effort, you see, and - along with the help of a certain cabin boy named Siran (who, unbeknownst to Alice, has slipped in a few little savory tricks, uh oh) -

[Hey, look, people are gathering. Castiel, naturally curious, wants to look around and try things. But with Cyrus with him, he's hesitant to just lead him in there.

So for right now, he's going to just look inside from the door.]

[Cyrus has noticed that Castiel stopped walking and so he does the same. He'd peek around Castiel's shoulder, but, you know.]

What is it?

[Castiel shifts a little bit before turning to look at Cyrus.]

It appears there is some sort of party going on.

...you want to go in?

Karis always shows up to these things, if only for the booze. However, there are also certain cookies she's on the look out for....

[And they just so happen to be on the tray that Alice is suddenly offering you, Karis. Won't you try one?]

[Why thank you. Karis eyes her suspiciously and then picks up a cookie. She turns it over in her hands before taking a bite, chewing carefully before swallowing.]

[Alice smiles at her encouragingly, and doesn't bat an eye at Karis's outward appearance. Instead, she just eats a cookie herself, though since shes already human, it does nothing to her.]

Delicious aren't they? I do love a good lemon cookie with my tea. Have you had any yet? The raspberry is marvelous.

[Vie is standing by the door, arms folded while she watches the room with interest. She can tell Alice has put a lot of effort into this, and it pleases her to see that Alice is moving forward.

She hasn't decided what she wants to eat or drink yet, so for the moment, Vie is people watching.]

[Alice's voice is distant. She might appear to be moving on, but Alice is still holding out some hope that this might draw out Tarrant and Godric.]

Do you think they will come?

[Alice certainly isn't alone in that hope, even if Vie hadn't planned on ever voicing it. Sanya and Lilith had encouraged her to keep moving forward, and she knew that was what she intended to do, at least on the outside.]

Alice! I... don't know. One can hope, I guess.

[Alice figures that if they do not show up to this, then she will not mention it again. Though she, like Vie, will not let go of hope.]

I hope I didn't startle you, I do tend to unintentionally do that at times.

[Alice decides its best to move off tender subjects.]

Have you tried the pastries? They're delightful!

[And there's Kage in his usual navy-blue uniform, looking grim as usual. He's nibbling on a few sugar cookies, and he's got a bottle of iced vodka beside him on the table.

He watches the party and snacks on the cookies. They're sweet. Kage doesn't mind sweets.]

[Oh hey, Kage. The Mithra hasn't seen you in a while, so she slowly approaches with a wave.]

Ah, hello.

[She's actually wearing a yellow dress with red and blue designs on it, along with a black obi-belt thing.]

[He sounds a little surprised and he looks over at her, then up and down her.]

Lookin' good. How's the boat treatin' you?

[There's a nod to her name being called before standing next to him. She tries to ignore the complement but her face still manages to obtain a blush.]

I've met some new people, its been nice. I've been spending my time racing with the Chocobos.

[A small smile creeps to her lips but her hand reaches up to the back of her neck to scratch at that tattoo.]

What about you?

[Lemon cookies are weird-tasting, Xanth decided. But the weirder thing was suddenly everything was so much louder. And in his peripheral vision he sees something fuzzy. He lifts his hands to his ears and...

Oh gods.]

[And who's that standing on the other side of the table, paused mid way into bringing a cookie to her mouth and doing nothing but stare? It's Vie!]

[...oh no. No no nooo no no. Xanth goes bright right and clamps his hands over his already-down-turned fox ears.]

H-H, uh, uh. H. Hi.

[Vie blinks.]

Ah. Hi.

[Pause.]

I don't mean to be rude, but you didn't have those ears a moment ago did you?

[Unaware that the cookie is to blame, Vie takes a bite.]
