My Internet has been down for about 44 hours out of the last 48. I put in a call to Qwest, and the tech had the odd (to me anyway) suggestion of unplugging the phone cord and switching the ends around, i.e. plugging the end currently in the phone jack into the modem and vice versa. These are the violet days. Early to mid-April, when half of my yard is overtaken by violets. They aren't really violets, but I call them that. Furnace has been repaired. Nothing major, just a lack of routine maintenance on my part (not a shock if you know me.) The filters got clogged, which caused the system to overheat, which caused the emergency shutoff thingamadoohickey to seize up. No mice involved, which is a relief. Well, I didn't go into work today because my furnace has stopped working. It was 48 degrees when I woke up this morning, cold air is being blown out of all the vents.
