This weekend we took a walk in our "back yard", down by the river. Everything is still brown, but that is quickly changing. We did see quite a bit of wildlife. We were hoping to see some fox or deer, but they were in hiding. We did see a blue heron! I've uploaded some pictures. They are at the top of the "set", starting with the one below.

Another winter storm hit us yesterday. We were not hit nearly as bad as others. I should look at some maps of the local topography because the weather at our house is quite different than most areas. So what's new in the life of Pinto? Not a ton. I've written about work ups and downs. The latter seems to be temporarily fixed by the almighty reboot. It has gotten rather winterly lately. This morning I went into the kitchen to make my lunch and give the kitties their breakfast. Turtle was sitting on the back of the futon in the living room. She looked at me and then looked out the window. I kept calling her but she didn't want to eat which happens now and then but not often. The weekend was good. The weather was fantastic. Saturday morning it rained a bit. We didn't realize that the rain would be short lived, so we stayed in most of the day. Oh well. Sunday it also rained a bit, but we forced ourselves to go out and be in the fresh air for the afternoon. We worked on cleaning up the fallen tree from a bit ago. ( Read more... )
