white stuff
Another winter storm hit us yesterday. We were not hit nearly as bad as others. I should look at some maps of the local topography because the weather at our house is quite different than most areas. We got a good 3", but all around us got 6"+. A co-worker who lives a ways north left early yesterday. I should have taken his lead. It took me a little shy of 2 hours to get home. It usually takes me 45 minutes on a bad day. My boss joked that we should have made a bet yesterday. I would have won if it was measured at our house, but nowhere else. He said he had 7" on his deck.
Work-wise, yesterday's client meeting was canceled, likely because of the snow. That helped. I'm glad I didn't have to stay late and have a 2 hour drive. I wish I could have telecommuted today, but I have/had a bunch of meetings. I've got another in a few minutes after I finish this and wolf down the rest of my lunch.
Oh yeah, I brought in the new digital camera to work the other day. I wanted to get a picture of the award I won last week. It is a bit too fragile to transport back and forth. I took some other pictures while I was at it. If you want to see the Cubeville where I hang out, take a look. There are also a few new ones of the cats and the house with the snow.
