This morning I went into the kitchen to make my lunch and give the kitties their breakfast. Turtle was sitting on the back of the futon in the living room. She looked at me and then looked out the window. I kept calling her but she didn't want to eat which happens now and then but not often. When I looked out the window to see what she was staring at I saw a young deer walking through the back yard by the old fountain. I called upstairs to Jaime to tell her to look out the back window. Then I looked out the side window and saw another deer! Both were probably yearlings. I didn't see any adults around. Then they started heading towards the front of the house. I didn't want them going into the road because people speed near us so I went out the front door and made some noise. The two deer obliged me by running towards the back of the property, towards the river.
