I hope that those who have followed this far have enjoyed the ride.

I did my best to write a story of Emily's growth while hopefully presenting a world that the readers would enjoy and perhaps even wish that they could visit to earn their own tails.

Thank You

Disclaimer: Devil Wears Prada, the book and the movie are owned by their respective producers. I am making no money from this foray into femslash fanfiction.

A/N: Once again, I labeled the sections as chapters though they are very short.

A/N: Also once again, this hasn’t been beta’d, so all mistakes are mine alone.

A/N: There is a lot of backstory here that isn't included. I might be able to be persuaded to put that into writing.

A/N: This deals with bondage and discipline. I am not in the lifestyle so it is probably all bull*, but know that the characters don't view themselves as being in the lifestyle. It applies to certain aspects of their personal lives so that they have an area where they may relax.

Nadya Nagel stepped into the boardroom when summoned. Irv Ravitz had been given an option and chose to retire. He would be on hand for the next two weeks during transition. Upon entering Roger Clarke and the rest of the board stood in greeting.

"Lady and Gentlemen, might I present the new CEO of Elias-Clarke, my daughter Nadya Nagel." It was a done deal. Elias-Clarke was entirely in private hands. That they had public stock was an oddity as the only stock traded was non-voting. The Board of Directors had fifty percent control of the company, which meant that only if the rest of the board opposed him did Roger Clarke not get his way.

His daughter, Nadya was his sole remaining heir. He had divorced her mother when she was only six months old. Her mother had gone to a judge and had her daughter's surname legally changed to her mother's maiden name. However he'd still had visitation rights. His other children were self-indulgent, entitled jerks. He gave each of them a choice, no support and they work for a living or her would give them lump sums and they would no longer be welcome to contact him. All three had chosen the lump sum.

Over the years father and daughter had found that they had much in common and he began to groom her to take over. At her mother's insistence they had minimal support from him and she only received a small stipend from his fortune. But she had a head for business. He'd introduced her just out of college to a friend who'd given her a chance. She worked her way up in the company, and then leap-frogged to a succession of companies making a name for herself while her link to Roger Clarke was undiscovered.

So now she was the new CEO. There'd been only one board member who'd supported him in this - the only woman on the board, but he'd gotten his way.

Over the next several days Nadya toured every publication headquartered in New York City saving Runway for last. At that publication she was to shadow Miranda for a couple days, touring the offices when Miranda had no meetings.

Emily learned about this later. All she knew was that she entered Miranda's office with Serena and stumbled to a halt. There was a woman sitting with Miranda as they pored over the results of the Cancun shoot.

"Emily, Serena, I'm so glad you could be here before everyone else." Miranda and her guest had stood and there was definite mirth in the editor's voice and a twinkle in her eye. "Might I introduce Nadya Nagel, the daughter of Chairman of the Board Roger Clarke, and the new CEO of Elias-Clarke."

"I'm so glad to meet you like this." the woman's voice was tinged with laughter. "Call me Nadya. Or, as I am sure that we're going to be good friends, socially you may call me Bunny." Miss Rabbit moved and caught the two women in hugs with a kiss on the cheek.

"Emily, your name has been among those suggested for a board of directors of a non-profit organization." Emily regarded Miss Nagel in surprise. "I will work on building it, but I am thinking of a public networking society for women, initially in this area, expanding if it does well. You would still work for Runway, but would have policy decisions to make as part of the board." Nadya Nagel smiled at her. "Think about it. I was thinking about calling it 'The Ladies', that's L-A-D-I-E-S, 'Society'."

Emily couldn't help herself. She laughed in delight. "Oh, you are wicked!"

"Aren't we all, Miss? Aren't we all."

Emily had no idea where things were going, but she was enjoying life's twists and turns and surprises and she looked forward to many more in the future.
