The Cure Tour set for September and October - including the Sept. 23 show scheduled for the Madison Square Garden show in New York - has been postponed, it was announced today. I got an email in my mailbox on Friday telling me not to miss Depeche Mode in my area. Funny how that is exactly what I needed to be told last time I had tickets for DM. Today was a crappy day that I almost spent at home being miserable. Alison made me get up and go to work though, and I thank her for that. Before I get to more pressing Hallowe'en matters, I must mention Friday night. We went to Pokipsi (this is the new spelling as the old way was counterintuitive) to see Laurie Anderson. Thursday night I went to see Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall. While I was overjoyed to see Bowie on stage again, the show as a whole was crap. First off, I was sitting by a bunch of pop fans, especially these two high school girls next to me who didn't know who anyone was and talked through the whole show. Today I did not spend a cent. I took my own breakfast instead of getting it at the deli, and ate leftover italian from yesterday for lunch. I didn't buy any snacks or beverages throughout the day, and didn't buy anything on the way home or tonight.
