Fashion Rocks (though mostly not)

Thursday night I went to see Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall. While I was overjoyed to see Bowie on stage again, the show as a whole was crap. First off, I was sitting by a bunch of pop fans, especially these two high school girls next to me who didn't know who anyone was and talked through the whole show. They did really like Rob Thomas ( Read more... )

i caught this on tv with Amy and Travis last night... i didn't quite get that the fake black eye, small suit, and bandaged hand was a statement. i was just worried, at first. we turned it on just after he started, so if he mentioned anything about it- i didn't gather it.

i would have LOVED to have seen Five Years- but that AF song did rock the house.

I just want to say it is always a delight to read your experiences, no matter what they are!

I am in the process of packing for my move to Orlando, and while I've been packing, I've been making all of my Bowie recordings since his TV appearances for Heathen onto DVD...and I saw YOU!! It was the Today show from 2003. I just thought it was cool.

Anyway, I am so disappointed in the network's decision to cut Arcade Fire's songs. They are such a breath of fresh air and should be recognized. IF you know of anyone who captured a bootleg of the performances, I'd be interested in those.

And the Gwn/Sax was there, huh? ;) I knew they were going to be there. I hope to see Shannon in the next few weeks since she's a Floridian and I'm going to be a Floridian.

If David's black eye was make-up, I sure the hell was convinced. I just thought that something had happened to him before going on the first time and that they just covered the bruise up with make-up between sets.

I've been out at sea for a week and I taped the show. I saw Bowie's black eye and thought, "OMG, was he attacked??? Why wasn't this news?" That's why I'm checking LJ now--I'm relieved it was make-up, but a brilliant hoax!

why does he have a black eye and ace bandage? Bowie Daily is abuzz about this too.

I think that he was the "wrong guy" he sings about in the song.

I think he looks quite cool there. Love the bandage.
