Unemployed, and temp job just cut my hours. What's a girl to do?

Spend all week modding goggles, of course.  Have to say, I'm quite pleased with these. Need money for DragonCon, so I am (with permission) offering these for sale here.

Just in case they were the right ones I went ahead and ordered the goggles from Alexandria General Supply. I ordered online with a note letting them know exactly what I was looking for. Last week I ordered goggles from Pendergast and this was the reply I received today:

Hi _____,

Yes it was shipped to you at the correct address, but apparently the goggles the manufacturer has supplied do not match the photo, therefore will not suit your purpose. We are going refund your credit card today and you can keep the goggles for free.

I'm going to start scouting some local shops and fabric stores to see if I can find the red and black elastic band. Perhaps some other product has it, or a reasonable facsimile can be located to thread into whatever other substitute goggles we can locate.

Wow - I'm astounded by the response to Goggle-gate 2008! It looks like we got through to Pendergast too, because I got my invoice sent to me with this message:

 Has anyone attempted to speak to someone at the manufacturers of the goggles, North Safety, to confirm if they have drastically altered their model VG800H5 goggles? The image at their website is still the dull silver color with green flip lenses.
