Wow - I'm astounded by the response to Goggle-gate 2008! It looks like we got through to Pendergast too, because I got my invoice sent to me with this message:
We are getting emails that the goggles do not match the photo. If this is the case and you would like to return you may do so for a full refund. You may send UPS collect on UPS acct # 165-865 Thank you Bob Customer Service
I believe this has been reported in the comments on one of the goggle threads.
But check this out - I also got a customer refund notification from the same Dave (I think) that I had had problems with this morning.
The message with it says:
Type : REFUND
Invoice Number :
Description : Goggles do not match photo. Customer keep product
Total : US $31.55
Payment Method : xxx
So are they tell me to keep them? I don't mind sending them back - I wonder paying for us all to ship them back is going to cost the company more in the long run? We all know you can get those goggles for $5 WITH shipping on ebay.
One of the comm members seems to have located a possible source for the Horrible goggles, which apparently are not made anymore in the color used in Dr. Horrible. I believe he will update when he gets verification that the googles this company has are correct.
Also - a big shout-out to Morton, who I think we have verified by now is NOT the same as Pendergast. They seem very interested in our costuming efforts - they seem to have the goggles in the same make, but not color. I think they are checking their sources. I think they are also looking into getting custom jackets made or something too. It's just nice to see them embrace our business.
There are a couple of goggle threads with interesting stuff - so be sure to check them out. I just wanted to post that we apparently got through to Pendergast - so if you got the wrong goggles from them, you should be able to get a full refund.
