in the absence of the right stuff...

I'm going to start scouting some local shops and fabric stores to see if I can find the red and black elastic band. Perhaps some other product has it, or a reasonable facsimile can be located to thread into whatever other substitute goggles we can locate.

One of the options is to buy a piece of red elastic and use a black Sharpie for the striping- or if red elastic can't be fount, using black and red Sharpie on it (it would need to get stretched out a bit to to either, by using pins and a piece of cardboard)

I'm hoping to avoid more from scratch construction if I can help it, but that's definitely a good idea!

I hear ya on that one...I would really rather avoid doing scratch work on the goggles as well, given that I'm going to be putting forth quite a bit of effort into making the lab coat.

At this point, even if folks are able to get the correct silver Fibre-Metal pair, they may or may not have the correct band...but at least that's something that's relatively easy to "fake".

(And wow, there were a lot of typos in my previous comment. Sheesh. *L*)

I don't worry about typos. I'm just really unhappy about the whole goggle-gate thing.. I mean really.. a 10 year old image.. and NO ONE spoke up about it till a bunch of costumers got their knickers in a twist over it?
