Reminder, those helping us move, I'm getting the truck between 9 and 10am. I'm hoping to get the move done by 2pm... perhaps wishful thinking but it's just going to get hotter as the afternoon goes on. I'll have plenty of bottled water on hand, I expect everyone helping to drink it. :)

I've got hardware issues. My computer turned itself off and started beeping, I assumed this was probably from overheating since we didn't have the A/C on. I opened up the case and turned a house fan on it, but we heard an odd clicking sound that made me think something was caught in one of the fans. I'm back safe! Have been since Sunday, but haven't had time to post, I had to help assemble deusinnomen's couch and get some of my own packing done, plus go rescue my wife from her dad's place after her brother's maniacal 12-hour drive from albany (yes, that's about 4 hours faster than it should be).

We had an excellent turnout at the Serenity benefit screening, 269 people (which rocks given the short short notice we were able to give people and news outlets, I think we had a total of 10 days of promotion because we got started so late). Wednesday we went downtown to watch Wicked! Traffic sucked as usual, but wasn't as bad as feared. After some brief confusion about what a Loge was (I'm still not sure, it looked like a balcony to me but the balcony is a different area), we found our seats and proceeded to absolutely love the production. :) Thanks Kat ( Read more... )

Anyone know what Illinois laws are regarding having 3 roomates? I remember reading a story somewhere where a city was threatening to evict a family because the parents weren't married and there were too many non-related people living together, or something.

We're considering renting a big house with a couple other folks...
