What a week. I've been forced to work overtime at work (we have no choice in the matter, according to management) and I will have worked 58 hours this week when I get off work today at 3:30. I am back at work after having 11 days away from work and a glorious 11 days it was.

George and I got a significant amount of work done and the house is back to it's normal, pre-Christmas state. I meticulously orgainzed all the Xmas stuff as I packed it away so it will be easier to decorate next year. We bought lots of totes on sale at Target to ( Read more... )

Not sure what it is about this year, but I am just not feeling Halloween. I have been enjoying the rain and gloom the past two days, it's such a nice change from hot and nasty. Getting used to the way rain sounds in a new house, on a different roof, on new windows is interesting. I guess I pay attention to strange things, lol.

I didn't have work today! (thanks Columbus!) so I stayed home and washed about 8 or 9 loads of laundry and went out to lunch with George. Days like today make me wish I could be a housewife cause I know I'd find stuff to do all the time and I like doing house-y stuff like washing clothes and cleaning and cooking...

If it weren't for this iPhone app, I'd never update this thing. George and I are thinking about starting a joint blog where we can post pictures and about or house and all the improvements, etc, then when wedding stuff gets closer, then we can use that as a wedding website, too. Hopefully we can get on that here soon.

I told George tonight it feels like we haven't had a normal weeknight in ages. I mean, maybe it's just me but sometimes I like to come home, eat dinner and watch a show on tv... Happy to say it's finally Friday! It seems like this week has been dragging, but that could be because of the overtime which has been mandatory... :(. Oh well, my check should look nicer because of it and we get paid 3 times this month which is also cool.
