X-mas vacation wrap-up
I am back at work after having 11 days away from work and a glorious 11 days it was.
George and I got a significant amount of work done and the house is back to it's normal, pre-Christmas state. I meticulously orgainzed all the Xmas stuff as I packed it away so it will be easier to decorate next year. We bought lots of totes on sale at Target to make storing things easier in both the garage and the attic. Almost everything is unpacked that needs to be unpacked and everything that will be stored (ie holiday decorations) is packed away neatly in the garage or attic. Feels good to be so close to parking in the garage!! After having no garage for years at our other house, knowing my car is tucked away safely in the garage will be a comfort.
We will be installing shelves in the garage and we also got some free-standing shelves to accomodate our storage needs. We plan to hang/stack our bikes, hang the wheelbarrow, etc as well to free up as much floor space as possible. George is excited to have his own space in the garage for all his tools, etc and I'm glad he wants to keep it neat and clean :)
All in all, I'd say our vacation time was well-spent and I feel like we got a lot accomplished considering we had a lot of family obligations as well, due to the holidays.
