Luna reads through the entire note with a vague sort of interest and approaches Arabella, wand tucked behind her ear.
"You might want to ammend that to read 'Witches and Wizards', actually," she says, giving her a wide-eyed look. "But if you're looking for one of the latter, I'm right here."
"Arabella Strange," she replies, and pauses, trying to think of a way to say what she means. "I have always been taught that magic is a profession best left to gentlemen."
Reading the letter, she decides she likes the sound of the woman who wrote it, and so finds Arabella. "Hello" she smiles, friendly "You wrote the letter asking for magicians?" She doesn't look much like any magician Mrs Strange might have been used to, but she is a sort of one at any rate.
She certainly does not, for Arabella is from a world in which magicians are gentlemen-- the operative word being 'men.' She smiles, though, as well. "Good day. Yes, I am-- Arabella Strange, if you please."
She smiles and curtsies. "A pleasure, Mr Prewett. I believe I may have I heard something of this school, but would be honored if you would suffer me to inquire."
He laughs a little, not mockingly. "It's really against the law to tell you anything, but I don't care much about the law. There's a war on, and understandnig is more important than the Ministry's silly secrets." He speaks somewhat vehemently.
"Anyway, I teach Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Those Dark Arts are why there's a war. Some wizards would rather eliminate all wizards with recenly Muggle ancestors. The stupid people don't realize we all have Muggle ancestors, just some further back than others."
((typist: And yes, he'll be willing to explain his jargon if she asks.))
"A war?" She asks. "Another one? Against whom?" For though she has just learned the meaning of the word 'muggle' (and is still quite amused by it), his explanation went rather over her head.

When he finds someone like to be Mrs. Strange, he grins and waves. "I'm Gideon Prewett. I teach at a school for young witches and wizards."
