The note amuses Gwendal, and he doesn't think he's exactly who she'd addressed, but mazoku have inherent magic of their own. Now that he's not made sick by the Mansion's magic, he's meeting a few more people. He still doesn't like many humans though. The bad history from his homeland runs too deep.
Still, he looks around for Mrs. Arabella Strange, and when he finds her, he inclines his head. "Mrs. Strange? I'm Gwendal von Walde, of Shin Makoku."
Arabella, expecting magicians like those in her own England, has not been precisely expecting anyone she has spoken to as of yet. She offers a slightly lower bow of the head in response to Gwendal's. "Mr von Walde, it is a pleasure. May I ask where Shin Makoku is? I fear I have not heard of it."
Nita reads it over three or four times to make sure she's getting it right. Then she takes the time to change out of her well-worn jeans and slightly rude T-shirt and into something a little more decorous, before going to find Arabella.
Watch him turn bright red and bow low in return. "Oh, no, honor's all mine! Uh, it's, well, you asked about wizards, ma'am, and I..."
He looks at the ceiling, the chair, the table - this is not a topic he's on easy terms with, despite it being one of the ones that comes up pretty often. "I am. A wizard. That is."
"I am very curious as to how the wizards-- that is what one calls them here, yes?-- of this place have managed to make such a wretched name for themselves. Where I come from, they are quite respected. --if you do not mind my asking, thiat is."
"Why, whoever taught them, then?" She adds quickly, "You must forgive me if I speak ignorantly. I have long been near magic, but know very little of its study and practice."
