New Year!!
Well, it seems that I've managed to make it to another year. And I can say so far (one day into it, mind you) that 2009 has been a good year. Some newlywed friends of my family have been visiting for the week and today we decided to hit some of the wineries in the area and sample what they had to offer. Yes. So far today has been awesome! I seem to have a good grip on my monologue and my older self has volunteered to help me with it. Unchartered Territory
I did it. I attended an orientation for substitute teachers. Lots of paperwork and in the end, I still didn't know what age group I wanted to be in charge of. I could be substituting as early as Tuesday, just got to pass the background check and be approved by the school board and all. Guess I can't commit a crime now, as I got fingerprinted. Failed Attempt
Bah. My venison jerky did not turn out so well. I think that is due to the fact that venison is so lean so there is no fat to hold it all together. Or it could be that I didn't use only dry ingredients. I made more of a marinade kind of. Which is supposed to be used with strips of meat as opposed to ground meat I suppose.
