Well, it seems that I've managed to make it to another year. And I can say so far (one day into it, mind you) that 2009 has been a good year. Some newlywed friends of my family have been visiting for the week and today we decided to hit some of the wineries in the area and sample what they had to offer. Out of the four we called, only two were open, which really didn't surprise me, as January is not peak season for wineries. All in all, there were some very good wines offered and I got some ideas for what I'd want my winery to look like, if I ever got around to doing that in my life.
By the way, Christmas was good. It was sad not having my grandpa there (may he rest in peace) and I was also missing
cordova829 , but it was nice having the rest of the family around. We had a lot of presents to go around. I didn't get enough money to score a plane ticket to see J, but I did get a nice snowball USB mic which should help me with my voice over work. It's something I've been thinking about diving into. It may or may not work out, but, it seemed interesting, and with my theater training, I figured I had a better shot than most.
I'm still looking for a job, but a recent job fair might have had some possibilities. Just have to wait and see I guess. I also plan on hitting up a temp agency soon. I'm finding out lately that jobs are all about networking nowadays. It really pays to know somebody who knows somebody, etc. Word gets around, and there's no better form of advertising than word of mouth.
Anywho, guess that's all for now. Rehearsal starts on the 5th for the show I'm in. Should be fun. :)
Man it's cold outside. Wish I had someone to warm me up ;)
