I have decided that I really have to go and visit Auntie Joyce (Dad's sister ... thus the icon I am using!).  That's been one advantage of being ill, and then of lockdown, I have had genuine reasons for not doing the trip.  It's a long trip (and will be my first "push" of my health), but the main problem is the lady herself ... she has always been ( Read more... )

This morning we actually our clinic finished early so I was able to stop for the minutes silence as this is the first official anniversay of Lockdown.  We stopped to remember 126,000+ deaths through Covid, but also so many others who have died of un-related causes, yet have no services,  So many who have suffered in so many ways.  For the first ( Read more... )

Yes, I had my Covid injection #1 this morning while at work.  Just before I went one of the senior nurses I work with told me it hurt them.  However mine didn't hurt unnecessarily ... but as I was speaking to the nurse who gave me the jab, we realised that the nurse I work with is male ... so ... yes, you guessed it, men are obviously wimps ( Read more... )

Happy New Year - here's hoping and praying that over the coming months we will see see a renewel of safety & freedom. All my holiday plans for 2020 were transferred, so hopefully by the time of the first trip, in May, things will be beginning to get back to normal ( Read more... )
